Neena's Om Shanti Yoga
Neena's background and philosophy
Namaste – I bow to the divine in all beings who’ve been a part of my amazing Yoga Journey: my family, extended family, our ancestors, yoga teachers, friends, yoga students and all other beings, some of whom I may have met only once, yet left a resounding impact. Teachers are all around us, I feel blessed to have had so many Gurus in my life, they’ve imparted their wisdom with grace and kindness for which I am eternally grateful. One thing that all great Gurus seem to share, has been their embodiment of Joyfulness.
I have been leading weekly classes, private classes, workshops and participating in conferences, in Vancouver and abroad for over 28 years. I have studied in India with: Yogasanacharaya S.R. Deekshitilu, Teachers from T.K.V. Desikachar’s school (The Heart of Yoga), Swami Vivekananda Research Foundation, and the Art of Living Foundation. In addition I have studied in North America with the Dru Yoga – Life foundation, with numerous visiting yoga teachers. I also completed a 2-year Yoga Therapy program. I continue to attend conferences and workshops and am passionate about yoga as it gives me a great deal of joy in seeing transformation in my students. My primary interest is to share yoga’s therapeutic benefits with as many people as possible so that they can weave the therapeutic and restorative modalities of yoga into their daily lives with ease.
