Winter 2018 Yoga Series

We will continue to work with specific postures, breathing and relaxation techniques that rejuvenate the spine. An emphasis on feeling the organic movement of each of the Asanas, observing the sensations as you move, breathe and let go of any tightness that you observe. We'll emphasize working with the neck, shoulders, and the spine. An aligned spine encourages alignment of body, heart and mind.

Using therapeutic yoga principles in developing a practice with fluid strengthening yoga postures with an emphasis on breathing, deep relaxation, insight into meditation that enable the body and the mind to transition into a place of Sukha a beautiful state of ease, stillness and joyfulness.

Winter 2013: In the upcoming New Year series I will be combining therapeutic benefits of Yoga, with elements of Ayurveda, meditation, and mantra for a more individualized Yogic approach in building on a personal yoga practice. We will continue to explore the gentle flowing yoga postures and breath moving us towards relaxation with a sense of stillness and joyfulness in body and spirit. January 7 - February 25, 2013

Fall 2012: Yoga postures combined with other limbs of yoga are a sophisticated system of energy management. We experience energy in our bodies and mind when the postures and the breath are in harmony with our individual constitution. In this series I will incorporate Ayurvedic principles based on your constitution to optimize the benefits derived from Yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques. This will profoundly change your personal yoga practice.

I will hand out a more detailed Ayurvedic constitutional questionnaires on our 1st class so that you will be able determine your Dosha (constitution)!

We will continue to explore the gentle flowing yoga postures and breath moving us towards relaxation with a sense of stillness and joyfulness in body and spirit.

Spring/Summer 2012 Yoga Series

In this series we will work with Yoga postures in conjunction with the Chakras. We will recharge our bodies with realignment of each of the charkas (energy centres from the base of the spine to the top of the head) using Yoga postures, breath, sound, and also experience subtle healing using mudras (yoga for the hands).

We will continue to explore the gentle flowing yoga postures and breath moving us towards relaxation with a sense of stillness and joyfulness in body and spirit.
